“Park for All” in the short term since its opening (at the end of November
2013.), became the referent spot when it comes to sport and the young.
The park’s sports content is adapted to everybody, including people with
disabilites and recovalescents, which makes it unique in Serbia. According
to the neighbours, the park’s equipment is also used by the group of young
people who used to break benches, tossed and lighting the containers,
tearing the seedlings…
Because of the recent coeval violence noted among the young, which
resulted in the loss of one young life, state secretary of the Ministry of
youth and sports – Nenad Borovčanin visited Niš on 18.02.2014.
He used “Park for all” to announce the making of „Youth care strategy”. On
that occasion he said:
„If every village and town in Serbia had this kind of outdoor gym, then
sport and recreation will be available to the children. High memberships
and other obstacles for sports activities will not be stopping them again.
The availability of sport is something that every local and national strategy
should be based on, in order to have a physically and mentally healthy
nation made of individuals who know that success is achieved by hard
work.“
