State lottery of Serbia, satisfied with the “Third age” project results, has given a donation in order to support the development of the self-help model and its spreading to the new communities, this time named “Golden age”.
The project has spreaded the self-help model across 3 municipalities (Pantelej, Crveni Krst i Svrljig) and 13 villages, forming an own “project territory”. In these villages 8 self-help groups were formed, one repairmen group and one “female self-help group”. The groups were educated by their own age people from the older groups, which made the job a lot easier. There were numeorus activities realized later, from the repairs in users houses, visiting the immobile, systematic health examinations, organizing touristic trips in the country, to breast cancer prevention and self-examination techiques lectures.
