Action of restoring of the public faucets was important on multiple leves. The action was led by a group of older handymen – volunteers, who restored the „Ćuprija“ faucet from 1880 and a faucet near Saint Djordje monastery, using their own skills.
Except for the aesthetic value achieved by restoration, the people were provided with healthy drinking water, which is constantly analyzed by the Institute for Public Health of Nis.
These faucets are of great importance to over 800 people because their water is not getting muddy and is present for the entire year. On the other side, the water from the village reservoir can get muddy during stronger rainfalls, and there are many restrictions during the summer.
