Association of Teachers Niš is one of the oldest organizations in Serbia with over 134 of tradition. This organization gathers over 1100 teachers from 63 elementary schools from the territories of South Serbia and Kosovsko Pomoravlje, with over 35.000 children.
Association of Teachers has extensive experience and experts in the field of education of children, while the Association of Kamenica significantly younger and more flexible association, with experience in the development and implementation of several projects and had won numerous awards.
At the meetings of our administrationboard, which were implemented at the end of last year and early this year, it was found that the two organizations share common values and goals of the program aimed at achieving full educational and social potential of disadvantaged children. On that occasion, the cooperation on joint development of the regional children’s and youth camp on Kamenicki Vis was concieved, with educational and sports and recreational facilities that are adapted to the curricula of schools (dual education).
On 23rd of April, just before the signing of the „Memorandum of understanding and cooperation“ the complete council of the Association of Teachers had visited our Camp. The members of the Council were first-hand introduced to our capacities and have been introduced to interesting details of our plan by the volunteers.
Under the impression of the visit, members of the Association of Teachers’ board unanimously brought the decision of the commencing of cooperation and have approved the signing of the strategical Memorandum.
