The pedestrian bridge project was realized by the self-help group old-to-old from Kamenica during the project „Third age“.
The group itself has chosen this idea, and our task was to create the “controllable and suitable” conditions for the realization of this complex project.
Thanks to the logistic support, the group has supplied the donation in materials from the municipality of Pantelej and the private sector. In the second phase, for the needs of realization the Association has donated the concrete steel.
Afterwards, the group has constructed the pedestrian bridge on the “River of Kamenica”, about 1,5 meter wide and 10 meter long with the accessible stairs from both sides.
The bridge represents the biggest result of the first self-help group and is often used as the representative example of the successful social inclusion of the elderly.
