A group of our members had researched the beauties of the „Cerje Cave“ – one of the biggest and the most beautiful caves of Serbia, located at 4.5km from our camp.
Kindness of our partners from JP Direction for Costruction of the City of Nis, who are the owners of the „Cerje Cave“ in the context of our recent mutual project, we got the chance to explore 2000m of channels and halls in the 6025m of explored parts of the Cave. In the following pictures we will try to express the incredible beauty and the grandiosity of the halls and underground canyons. Stalaclites, stalagmites and other formations along with white „lakes“ reminiscent of „Pamuk Kale“ in Turkey were found along the way throughout the cave. At the distance of 1700m from the entrance and the depth of 200m we drank the water at the source of an underground river…
We hope that our future project will help a significant number of our citizens to see the beauties of this cave. Until then, enjoy the pictures.
