First fine weather brings first fine news! We were visited by young people from the “Youth Development Initiatives”. Almost half members of this group are our former volunteers which have help us in rebuilding our youth camp. Now they want to start organize their own thematic camp. These enterprising young people were at the source of information and had a chance to be the first to find out that we have planned to support local developing initiative.
Their idea of organizing art camp, which will bring together local unestablished young artists, thrilled us during the fall and got all our support. Afterwards this young talented people had created their first project called “ARTiCOOLation – the path towards true values” which has gain sympathy of Trag foundation jury to reward their idea through program of “Active communities”.
Together we have walk through camp and discussing we determinate exact days of ARTICULATION camp to be held. That will be from June 23rd until 30, 2017.
Members of RIM team had meetings with the youth office of the City of Nis and youth office of the Municipality of Pantelej, from which they will get unconditional support in all aspects of the project and in particular for the purpose of gathering and promotion of 20 young and unknown local artists.
A promise made two years ago during the competition for “Green ideas” is not forgotten. ARTiCOOLation is the first thematic camp whose realization was supported by Kamenica Association in his social mission in area of sustainable local development.
We want to continue to support formal and informal groups- especially young people, and those who are young in heart.
